Basic vanilla cake recipe








This is one of the fool proof recipes for a soft and spongy vanilla cake. Vanilla flavored cakes acts as the base for many themed cakes and flavors. This is the first cake that I tried from scratch for the first time, after so many attempts, this particular recipe seemed to be the best versions that I had tried ever. Basic vanilla sponge cake recipe



Things you will require:-


* 2 eggs

* Vanilla 1tsp

* Sugar 1/2 cup (or as per your taste)

* Oil 1/2 cup

* All purpose flour 1 cup

* Baking powder 1tsp

* Milk 1/4 cup


Cooking time: 30 to 40 mins



Procedure:

1) Take a mixing bowl and add 2 eggs and add vanilla extract to it

2) Beat them for 1 min


3) Add sugar gradually and beat them until it becomes fluffy

4) Add oil and beat them again

5) Then add in the all purpose flour and baking powder to it after sieving them

6) Adjust the batter consistency by adding the milk, until it becomes a smooth batter

7) This batter will fit in a 7 inch pan, grease the tin or use a baking paper and add in the cake batter in to the tin.

8) Preheat the oven or a cooker/Kadai for 10 mins (180 degree for oven)

9) Place the cake tin in the preheated oven and bake for 30-40 mins (in low flame while in cooker)

10) Take out the cake tin, while the toothpick or knife comes out clean while inserted to the centre of the cake

11) Unmould it, once it gets cooled down completely
